Mind-BIOS was organized by senior faculty and staff of Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT) in April 1999.

Mind-BIOS envisions a rapidly modernizing regional
economy of Mindanao whose inhabitants and their own business organizations are
the major players and the prime beneficiaries of sustainable economic growth
based on equity and subsidiarity.
Mind-Bios seeks to advance, and share with the people, our knowledge and expertise in the transfer of appropriate technologies and good business management practices that foster economic democracy and ensure the sustainable use of resources.
Hence, we strive to provide a complete package of technical assistance for the formation, viable operation and sustained growth of eco-friendly micro, small and medium enterprises in Mindanao that are owned and managed by local stakeholders.
